South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw (SYB) Lung Cancer Screening
Lung cancer is one of the UK's most common cancers and early detection significantly improves survival rates.
There are often no signs or symptoms of lung cancer at an early stage. As a result, many people with lung cancer are being diagnosed at a later stage.
Most lung cancers grow slowly enough for them to be found at an early stage by a chest scan.
Eligible patients will be contacted via a letter from the Lung Cancer Screening (LCS).
Patients that are eligible are: between 55-75, live in South Yorkshire, are currently or a former smoker, or no smoking status is recorded on your medical details.
You will be initally contacted by post, with a reminder telephone call and text message.
